Beckman grew up with a wide variety of animals and is an avid student of
animal and human nutrition. She has been studying nutrition and feeding
her cats and dogs (and rodents!) a species-appropriate raw diet for many
years. She has also worked with exotic animal veterinarians on diets for
rodents. She is a published author, both nationally and internationally.
She has her degree in Animal Science from Kansas State University and has
attended lectures given by Dr. Ian Billinghurst and Kymythy Schultze. She
works at an alternative veterinary clinic where she learns about
non-conventional
methods of healing, including acupuncture, chiropractic, Chinese and western
herbs, homeopathy, and of course, nutrition. |
